MK12 Early Fall Updates.

A moment of inspiration from another direction.

I remember going over to my good friend carlos' house and entering the back door to his house where his room was. His walls plastered with fliers and posters wall to wall and a huge mural he had painted. A small twin bed sat in the corner amongst racks of spray paint and records. There on small makeshift dj stand were two turntables and 2 roland monitors being squeezed for every sound they could make. I remember this being my introduction to turntables, and i remember carlos letting me play around on his expensive equipment. I still recall the first time he tried to teach me how to beat juggle with two Janet Jackson albums -- since those days, i've always aspired to learn how to dj. I got my first set of pioneer CD-Js from carlos and an old pioneer mixer when i was in college, and then those slowly upgraded over time to some numark axis-9s. Then finally in 2006 I finally acquired my dream setup of 2 1200s! Being able to go tonight and see DJ Craze perform was simply amazing. It's one thing to really enjoy something for years and also practice at it -- but seeing someone perform on that level is simply inspiring and mesmerizing. What a show.

Finally got a moment to play on the laptop for a few minutes at home. Nothing awesome but the pure exercise of sitting and doodlin', fantastic!

The Beatles RockBand!

i'm so geeked about the game coming out this week! With its release comes all of the reviews images surfacing that have been held back. It fantastic to see our work in this context and on this scale of a release. Some of the shots created baffled my mind and made me scratch my head -- but in the end it all came out fantastic. Recreating some of the album covers in 3D was really fun to work on... as always good work MK! and look forward to people enjoying the game! :) Either way here is a review of the game that showcases a chunk of our work!

I asked the lady what should I draw? Her response was moon man. Well I drew a moon girl. I don't draw girls often so I had a bit of trouble with her face, and i cheated her back shoe because i was drawing slow ;) and the cat deemed it important to interrupt me like 3 times! Whew -- lost my laptop for the weekend there so sorry for the lack of post! Having to reinstall everything is fun! yippie! finally got photoshop on here tonight so i did a quick doodle to enjoy myself!
