In the Quiet, I listened.

oh oh oh -- same old story, here's a quick doodle as I crawl away from work for a brief moment. It's been such a swirl as of late, hopefully I can set into my stride again and post more!

"Loss Monsters"

Good ol' Scott has been keeping busy in school and pumping out some nice animations -- check out his blog over at papercicada. This guy taught me how to break maya, which is always a good thing to do :)

Noby Noby Boy

wow -- trailer after trailer I've just gotten more confused of what the heck noby noby boy is... well it came out today, and here's the launch trailer. Amazing. I love when developers just challenge gamers to rethink what a game should be every now and then, and maybe telling us our ideas aren't crazy enough yet :)

Inks and Rice

Psyop has done it again -- inducing 2 technically and visually beautiful spots. They bring Mate Steinforth back up to the plate for a ink spot that has some really nice transitions. Ever since the bond era of mk, i've learned to respect particles and all of headaches of compositing and micro managing them. Either way, motionographer is hosting the spots and a brief interview.

Quotation of Truth

Anyone can do any amount of work provided it isn't the work he is supposed to be doing at the moment.

Happy Valentines!

Sorry i've been vacant -- it's been quite the whirlwind at the office, so my nights have been actual productive hard nights with little to no time to doodle before i'm dead tired. But i'll try to get some doodles up that i've drawn in my sketchbook although squid boy is hard to top. But i will leave you with a nice bookmark and illustrator.

Abduzeedo is a really nice resourceful website, it's one of those that you could just metalink within the site and stay on there for hours. Definitly a fun place to go if you need somewhere to just check out interesting artists and designs. They also gave 2 of our title sequences a nod :)

Fumi Mini Nakamura
Beautiful illustrations, this was one of my favorites! I also dug this up on abduzeedo :P

small typographic exploration

i decided that I don't post enough graphic illustrations and sketches -- I started with the words lost control and just running with it -- i decided i couldn't spend too long on it, so i stopped with lost. its something, sorta fun :) let's hope i can do some more these explorations.

MK12 Quantum of Solace Press release

After months of secrecy -- the veil is beginning to pull back on MK12's involvement with Quantum of Solace. There have been the interviews that i've posted before but they have all been limited until now. We should start seeing some HD clips appearing, and almost some behind the scenes materials. I'll let you know as soon as they appear, but for now enjoy TEG's press release.

Bookmarks: Nice Animation!

I always enjoy finding animations that are nice. Perhaps its also sitting in front of the computer long hours trying to find the light at the end of the tunnel... seeing other animations being done makes me remember it'll get done, and it'll be pretty (hopefully :P ) Either way -- enjoy the work of Colourmovie. Their work on the slamdance is a fantastic little piece, and so is the nike one - i took images from both to share!

whoa! Amazing Hologram!

Wow -- i was already feeling left behind in the website world as far as flash and all that jazz goes, but this tops it all -- this is something that is worth your time if you have a webcam! The website apart from the interactive portion is equally as well design and put together, but the 'augmented reality' is definitely the gem. You print out a pdf from their website, wave it in front of your webcam and boom! You have a tracked on 3d object, this is crazy folks... crazy! 3d artwork to another step -- imagine your portfolio of 3d objects portrayed like this! So many possibilities!
