A year in review.

I feel like i've had such a great creative year! I've really enjoyed being exploratory and expanding my doodlism! Even going through the past year of blogging to pull images to use for this montage, I cringed at a few of my doodles... but they remind me of how far i've come. While this blog at times may feel like i'm posting without reason, it helps me to have an archive and see what experiments worked and which ones didn't. I feel like i've worked on my line quality a lot the past year and helped guide my doodles into a cohesive style. I look forward to what 2010 brings and I hope you stay tuned! Thanks for viewing and enjoy some thumbnails from some of my favorites over the year!

Human vs Nature

Hello all! Finally the time has come to drop the new poster series Human vs Nature! Micheal from ventilate asked me to not only participate in this second round of posters but also extended the invitation to curate the show. It became a great chance to reach out to artists who have inspired me over the years and reach out to new ones. I really had a blast curating and working on this show. I learned a lot and look forward to future endeavors :) I hope you guys enjoy this, we really just wanted to give you all some tangible inspiration. cheers!

Camera out the window on a cold night.

Driving home from doing the mural sunday I decided to poke my camera around since it was late and no one was out and about. Quickies but I liked the colors and reflections.

here is an update to the mural i'm working on. Still have a ways to go but I think its starting to come out pretty nice! :)
Doing a wall this size by brush is both meditative and exhuasting.

Quick recap of today's painting.

My first time painting by brush so I was a bit slower than i'm used to --- this is 3 1/2 hours of my night. Post the rest next week when I go back to work on this! :)
